Hi Experts,

(1) Whats the important of the tab" brand " in basic data view in MM41.Whats the difference between "article status tab" in "basic data view" and "article status tab" in "logistic: store" in MM41.

(2) What are the important tabs and fields in" POS view" in MM41

Brand field in Artilce denotes brand of the article, this is useful for reporting purpose, this need to activate in MARA-Brand_ID in SPRO to view in artilce - basic data view

Artilce status tab in basic data view applies to enter organizational unit, but logistic: store staus applies to only specific stores only,

(2) What are the important tabs and fields in" POS view" in MM41

Sales org, distri chnl, store should be assigned

POS selling periods (validity) it controls artilce sale should be within perticular periiod, this is most useful in season artilces

The materials used in retail are mainly manufacturer or private labels. In material master maintenance, you can categorize materials by assigning them to a label. You can then use this categorization if required in reporting.

In this IMG activity, you define the labels permitted for use in the maintenance of the material master data. You can characterize each label as a manufacturer or a private label.

for Article Status in Baisc Tab

Article Statuses

In this step, you maintain the material status as well as the characteristics of the individual material statuses.

The material status determines how a material is handled in different applications and in business operations (for example, purchasing, materials planning, usage in bills of material, and so on).

For each material, you can set a material status in the corresponding material master record. If a material has a material status, the system will issue either a warning or an error message (depending on which status you have chosen) if the material is used.

Example

Material status assignment

You want to designate a material as a material to be discontinued. In the master record, you give the material a status whose parameters have the following settings:

Parameters:

Purchasing "B" = error message

MRP "A" = warning

Inventory Management " " = no message

If the material is used, this parameter assignment has the following effect:

You can perform no further purchasing function for the material; for example, you can enter no further purchase order for the material. In this instance, you are given a corresponding error message.

If you plan requirements for the material, you are warned that the material is one to be discontinued.

You can continue to withdraw the material from stores; no message is given.

Actions

1. Define your material statuses.

2. On the Details screen, define the characteristic of the individual material statuses. You do so by positioning the cursor on the corresponding line and pressing F2. The details screen for the respective line appears.

Note

You can use a separate status management function in the Sales view on the material.

For Article status in Logistics Store

Article Status

In this step, you define:

Whether the material status locks data for distribution for ID PDM

The distribution lock is read during distribution via a change pointer.

Which profile controls authorizations to change material data in distributed ALE systems

These settings only apply to the cross-plant material status that is defined in the basic data of the material master.

Activities

Define the following settings for distributing materials for ID PDM:

1. In the Distribution lock field, define whether materials with this status are distributed to ALE systems.

2. If you want a change authorization to control processing of material data with this status in ALE systems, enter a Profile.

These settings must be the same in the source system and target system.
