Hello SAP Gurus,

Please tell me what is the use of 89 inspection type when can we use this in for lot creation?

Genarally as name suggest 89 is misc inspection type,When you want to carry out some Ananlysis such as

say you want to keep the record of

1.Misc sample inspected.

2.chemical analysis

3.microstructre test.

4.Process audit

etc etc

For this if you want to keep the record in SAP with some reference then we can use 89 inspection type.

Apart from anythig where std sap do not have inspection type,89 is used.

Use 89 inspn type for inspections like audit inspection, manual lot creation etc. Use thuis when ever you want to generate an inspection lot manually. Use 03 usge in inspection plan. These are non stock relevant inspection lots.

Hi,

We can use this inspection type when we just want to record the results of certain object like if you have some material and you just want to record its results and keep for your future reference, manually insp lot can be created and record the results.
