SAP Gui Java Proxy Configuration

Dear All,

I am using SAP Gui Java 7.20 on Linux - Ubuntu . I want to connect the SAP Production server through Proxy Settings. Menu --> File --> Preferences --> Proxis . I am unable to connect the server. What are all the parameters required in Gui settings ? Where to give the password. ?

I am not sure if I understand your particular problem.

SAP GUI (both for Windows and Java) connect to SAP systems using sockets, not http connections. The proxy settings in preferences dialog of SAP GUI for Javais relevant for http connections done by html control part of SAP GUI for Java.

The analogon of proxies for socket based SAP GUI connections would be saprouter.
