Hi,
I am new to seeburger and PI. I am understanding PI.
BIC Map editor. Here i am getting confusing.
BIC is convert edi data into xml and viceversa.
In PI Communication channel we use this map name.
I am really confused that what is the use of this BIC. how do we used BIC Mapping and how do we create.
Can any one explain me the procedure how PI and BIC map edtor combinely works.
My task is Converting edi data into ddf format and converted ddf format to IDOC.
Thanks,
Seenu.

Hi,
Check my blog for overview of the seeburger scenario.
/people/rajeshkumar.pasupula/blog/2009/08/05/wanna-implement-seeburger-for-edi-find-the-booster
in order to deploy seeburger mappings into PI you need to create a mappings using BIC mapping designer tool which generates a SCA file...and the same needs to be deployed into PI server...
PI runtime will call BIC mappings at module processer step to convert the EDI data into XML and viceversa...
for this reason we specify seeburger modules at communication channel level..
Hope this clears all your queries..
