WBS definition change

Hi,

Actually we want to change the Definition: WBS element,which it has been cost booked

(they have booked cost in wbs as ABC but now in system it is availble as ABCD it is not allowing to change the wbs as ABC)

Im having options

providing the authorization to PS Business owner

Authorization Objects -C_PROJ_VNR and C_PRPS_VNR

Delete the project version in table

Any inputs

Hi,

can you please mention the exact error message that is stopping you from changing the WBS code/ number. As then it will be convenient to find a solution to the same.

Hi Chandra,

Please refer to these notes 616732 & 529634 and proceed accordingly. You can rename and bring the old WBS version and then reverse / post cost.

Hi,

I hope this is happening due to the existence of a project version which has been created with respect to that WBS. Now for that, you can do one thing, just go go to CN41N/ CN41. Put that project number and then if it is CN41N go to edit and there you will find delete project version, in that if there is any project version existing with respect to that project, it will appear over there. Then, you can delete that project version and after that go to CJ20N or anything other transaction to make changes in WBS, system will allow you to make the required changes in WBS number / Code.
