Difference between powl and alv ...

Hi Gurus,

I have used ALV in my webdynpro applications..

Can someone give me an insight as to how POWL is different from ALV and

also links to POWL usage in webdynpro..!

POWL is also a WEBDYNPRO Component which intern use ALV,

Hi,

POWL inturn uses the ALV component to display data.

POWL is like - you can customize it to see data related to you- or action items on you only, whereas ALV is just used for display of data.

With POWL customozing you can give a role based access of different sets of data ( Query) for different people.

one ex could be approval of let's say sales order -you can create queries in such a way that a person can see work items related to him only.

Also, customers can create their own custom queries to filter data relevant to them using POWL.
