Unable to pick up or drop files in a folder other than Root Folder

Hi Gurus,

We are tying to write a file in a Windows server using Receiver FTP file adapter.

Root directory of the user is say D:\outbound\

File are written from PI inside the root directory. But our requirement is to write the files in

a directory other than the root directoty,, say D:\from_pi\getFiles\

If we mention /from_pi/getFiles/ this is failing in the adapter.

Error - 'com.sap.aii.adapter.file._ftp.FTPEx: 550 /from_pi/getFiles/: The system cannot find the path specified.

Kindly help us out on the same.

Hi

Contact server team and get FTP enabled for "/from_pi/getFiles" folder. May be FTP is not enabled for this folder.

You open the link of server in windows explorer like

ftp://server IP/path provided

, if it works it ll work for PI also.

Thanks a lor for your suggestions....we shall go and approach the necessary team for the required access to the folders.

We would like to know whether if the same folder structure exists say in C:\, then where would the files be accessed from..

Another question:

Would the same authorization issue apply if PI has to pick up the file from say C:\to_PI\sendFiles ?

The authorization needs to be given to the respective folders from where the file is to be picked/ dropped.

This is authorization problem, you have only authorization at root level.

Contact to FTP Administrator for authorization for folders also.

D:\from_pi\getFiles remove the extra \ present ..... this format is correct...not the other one having / ....do you have write permission for other folders?
