We have to do configuration in SAP as well as at client where Pro/E direct integration is installed.

In SAP, goto SPRO -> Cross-Application Components -> CAD Integration -> CAD Desktop -> CAD Desktop

For detailed information on CAD Desktop, download CAD Desktop documentation from

<a href="http://service.sap.com/plm">http://service.sap.com/plm</a>

Lifecycle-Process Support -> Integration -> MCAD Integration -> Media Center -> General / CAD-Desktop

For configuration of Pro/E direct integration, follow the config guide that came with your Pro/E integration CD.

Hello Pranav,

Thanks very much for all your tips. In the meanwhile,I have a question. We are trying to evaluate mySAP ERP in the following modules... PP,QM and PM. I would like to understand the advantages mySAP ERP offers in the above mentioned modules compared to R/3 4.6C & 4.7. Your tips in this regard would be highly appreciated.

Thanks again

Hi,

In general the CAD desktop work like this.

You have to make the entries for Pro E within customizing of de cdesk. Then install the integration software with in Pro E. Follow the guidelines. Depending on you needs and the possibilities of the integration softw are you can make settings in the integration. This setting may help you creating document info records and materials. This all should be possible but the right way of doing this is different per integration software.

Greetings and good luck
