Delivery is happening more than STO quantity

Former Member

Hi

I have come across the situation where delievery is happening more than the STO quantity, Delievery type is NL and item category is NLN. I wish to know the reason of this behaviour. Is there any standard solution apart from user exit.

Mr. Karan

IN 0VLP - Check overdelievery is already assigned with value 'B' - Situation rejected with an error message.

Mr. LAXMIPATI

B is already assigned and it is not warning but error message.

Need more input

Hello Amit,

Have you also specified some over delivery tolerance in your customer master or customer-material info record or sales order.

If yes then system will consider that tolerance before giving the error message.

Otherwise the configuration should work. I have used this in many projects.

This delievery is against STO not against order. I have not maintained any tolernace any where.

I have asked you to check in OMCQ, whereas you were talking about zeroVLP. In OMCQ, for M7024, Change it to E and save.

thanks

ps:- please spell the name correctly

Hi

Through standard configuration it is not possible

It has been discussed many times this issue

Over delivery in STO can be controlled by userexits or BADI only

Delivery item category configuration will not work (0VLP settings will work for only deliveries initiated from sales orders )

Yesterday too this issue was discussed

Enclosing herewith the thread fro your reference

In that MM thread is there which clearly answers you

forum post in ERP - Sales and Distribution (SD) General: Re: Restriction on delivery against STO

Check the Over delivery options in the delivery item categories

It should be not allowed for NL document item categories

Hi

You can make the setting in delivery item category by going to the below path

SPROIMGLogistoics execution-Shipping-Deliveries ---Define item categories for delivery (OVLP)

Maintain Check minimum quantity "B"

By doing the settings also it will not work in case of deliveries made reference to STOs.

As you can see from note 548914 this functionality doesn't exist.

Kindly check the below link

thanks but in my scenario there is no overdelivery tolerance set. STO is having 10 qty and i can make delievey of 15 ton. In vl04 only 10 qty is copied but through vl02 we can amend to 15 and create delievery.

Hi

The system does not check the delivery quantity in the delivery with the STO quantity ,in which delivery created with reference to the STOs .

The configuration in delivery item categories for over delivery will work only for sales order references and not for STOs

so i suggested to use the BADi to control the same

Hi,

If you want to avoid this, goto transaction 0VLP and in "Check Overdelivery" field for your item category, fill the value "b".

You will get an error when you create delivery.

If you will maintain this, you will also get an error in VL04.

Otherwise, this is standard SAP behaviour that you can increase the qty in VL02N.

Karan
