shipping point determination

Dear Friends,

We have a requirement where we have one plant and 3 shipping points which in turn have 3 storage location.

Now when we do delivery we want the storage location determination based on the shipping points. we have done the settings in OVL2 and OVL3 but still the storage location is not determined.

We have a single code for the material for which we have maintained storage conditions as 01.

Please suggest how it can be determined.

Hi,

In Shipping point determination you have shipping point gets determined on shipping conditions, plant and loading group. As you are saying that you have only one material and you are saying that you have 3 shipping points assigned to single plant.

You might have determined shipping point(s) differently based on the shipping conditions in the customer master. There is no other way of determining 3 different shipping points automatically as Plant and Loading group are same. The other possibility is

that you might have assigned Manual shipping points apart from default for the same combination. So now If you come to storgae location determination based on tshipping point , you check whether the storage location determination rule "MALA" is assigned to your delivery type in "0VLK". If it is assigned to your delivery type , then check the entries maintained for storage location determination. The combination here is Shipping Point, storage conditions and Plant. So for each shipping point ,even though plant and the storage conditions are same you will be able to determine the storage location specific to shipping point. But only thing is that you may have to change the default shipping point that comes with the Plant at item level in the sales order.

Only problem is that we have more than fifty line items in the order,so practically its not possible top enter the shipping point manualy in order or to change the storage location during delivery for all line items.

please suggest any other solution.

Three Shipping Points - P101, P102 and P103

Three Storage Locations - S101, S102 and S103

Shipping Conditions - C01, C02 and C03

Storage conditions - S01

Loading grp - L001

First -

---

Shipping point determination

C01 - L001 - P100 = P101

C02 - L001 - P100 = P102

C03 - L003 - P100 = P103

Storage location determinations

P101 - P100 - S01 = S101

P102 - P100 - S01 = S102

P103 - P100 - S01 = S103

Now in sales order you can change the SHIPPING CONDITIONS for customer which is done only in one field in header shipping tab or u can maintain in customer master and rest will be determined automatically, even if there are more than 50 materials.

Define Rule for Determination of Shipping Point

Maintain Storage Locations specific SHIPPING POINT DETERMINATION in front of your delivery type

Assign Shipping Points According to Storage Location

Dear sapsdcrm,

You have to show some difference in Storage conditions or loading in OVL2 corresponding master data to automatically detrmine shipping point. Or else if it is a same condition you have to change the shipping point manually in appropriate transactions.
