How to do alerts monitroing for RFC failed in SM

Hi All,,

Let me know how to do the alerts monitoring for RFC in SM

For Example:

ABC(Solution Manager system)connected to BCF(satellitesystem)so many RFC are maintained,so if any RFC got failed to some reason we need to get a alert

please let me know how is it possible?

Hi

Not able to find the ZCCMS_RFCDest_Availability_Col in MTE and also in Topology in Local Segments to Warmup .

I did not find the Node in RZ20 Performance overview

Please let me know which step is missing.

In RZ21, select "Display Overview" of the method definitions. Select CCMS_RFCDest_Availability_Col and copy it to create ZCCMS_RFCDest_Availability_Col (Z is the customer namespace).

I have followed Note 1069130 - RFC Destination Monitoring: Separate Method for Each Dest.But ai not able to

Not able to find ZCCMS_RFCDest_Availability_Col in topology browser in transaction RZ21

and i did not find Node in RZ20 performance overview. to monitor the RFC

I have applied 1069130 in Source system and in Target SM system.

You can monitor T type RFC using Business Process Monitoring --> Application monitor --> Evaluate RFC connections.

This allows you to give the Max.wait time for each and every RFC you wish to monitor.

Hello,

yes, I guess your requirements are 100% fulfilled by BPMon. Please refer to the PDF "Setup Guide for Interface Monitoring" under https://service.sap.com/bpm > Media Library > Technical Information (SMP login required).

It explains tRFC and qRFC monitoring as well as the monitoring of all other standard SAP interface technologies.

You can set your own threshold values for green, yellow or red ratings and based on exceptions you can sent out emails or SMS etc.

i am not able to do this below step

Complected steps:

1. RFC connection from x to y and y to x

In X system:

1. In transaction RZ21, mark Method definitions, and choose Display overview

Copyed standard CCMS_RFCDest_Availability_Col method definition to ZCCMS_RFCDest_Availability_Col

Parameters tab

For x

Parameter name = RFC_DEST

value = SM_XCLNT510_TRUSTED

Parameter name1 = COLL_METHOD

value = ZCCMS_RFCDest_Availability_Col

Same in Y but for RFC_DEST give

Parameter name = RFC_DEST

value = SM_YCLNT100_TRUSTED

Execution Tab

Type of call = Function module

Call SALK = SALK_RFCDEST_AVAILABILITY

Execute method on = The local server of the MTE to be processed

Execute method for = Individual MTE

Control tab :

Execute method for = Individual MTE

Execute method = periodically in dialog process (short-running program)

Startup method = Execute method immediately after monitoring segment start

Execution location

of startup method = Only on the central instance

Start Tab:

Execute method = Data Collection Method

Next step :

In Transaction RZ21, Technical Infrastructure ->Topology in Local Segments need to Reset segment to Warmup status.

Problem: Not able to find the ZCCMS_RFCDest_Availability_Col in MTE and also in Topology in Local Segments to Warmup
