System Copy Issue

Dear Guru's,

We are doing system copy, once the installation phase started. after verifying the solution manager key, next step Create users for SAP system phase its throwing an error. (Defining environement for user db2sid).

Could anyone suggest me, what could be done to resolve this issue.

whats your OS?, it could be that the user you're running the installation under doesn't have enough rights... As Sunny said please post the logs.

Hi,

After changing the permission to the folder, it has been resolved.

but now we are facing another issue. in Start instance phase, the message server is not getting up.

Error messages:

ABAP processes of instance SID/DVEBMGS00 [ABAP: MSNOTRUNNING] did not start after 10:30 minutes. Giving up.

-

---

Connect to Message server (hostname/3900) failed: NIECONN_REFUSED.

Kindly suggest me on this.

So please check the log files

dev_disp

dev_ms

dev_w0

in the work directory of the instance.
