Inspection type 08 restricted by SLoc

Hi All,

I have a scenario in which various Storage locations like A B C D are dedined in plant X.

Now the user wants the inspection to happen only when the goods are transfered from any SLoc to SLoc A while for any other stock transfer, no quality inspection should as the QA department is only present at SLoc A.

Now if i activate inspection type 08 for a material,it will be inspected at all stock tranfers within that plant.Is it possible to restrict inspection by SLoc?

Hi,

For such type of requirement it is always better to create Z movement type by copying the standard movt type.After copying it deactivate QM for it & use this movt type for transfering the material to st. loc other than A.

It is always advisible not to make changes in the SAP standard movemet types.

Go to

SPRO - QM - Quality inspection - inspection lot creation - insp. for goods movements

here u select "Deactivate Quality Inspection for a Movement Type"

Now deactivate quality insp. for all the unwanted movement types

here u activate the inspection only for the mov. type 311with respective settings

Better to create a Mvt type copy of 311 as Z31 & use it for other storage locations where you don't want to create inspection lot.

Check OMJJ config & do not mainatin 08 inspection lot origin in Z31 or Deactivate QM for this mvt type.
