Failed to connect to backend system. Check your system definition and user

Dear All,

While trying to fetch data from the backend systems I receive this message Failed to connect to backend system. Check your system definition and user privileges.

My backend system is ECC and the SSO works fine.SSO uses logon ticket, so no usermapping required.

I tried testing the system object connections and they are fine as well.

I checked the connections on the system object and it has everyone group added with enduser checked.

Checked the trace files and the same issue is reflected.

Tried with mutliple users and multiple systems, still no go.Checked a cpl of threads on the same issue here, no good.

Tried rebooting the portal server and it worked for once and the trouble started again.

Any ideas, if I am missing something in here.

Cheers!

Hi Sandeep,

The problem is the VC user should have the 'Super Admin' and 'Standard User' roles for development. Add these roles to your vc developer id and try again.

Dear Basheer,

The user is a superadmin and he has the enduser role set.

Cheers!
