How to import EJB components and Web Dynpro into WAS 6.4

I have EJB components and developed Web Dynpro application.

Is it possible to upload directly without using NWDS? My system is very slow while running NWDS.

I don't know how to upload or deploy those on WAS 6.4.

Can any one help me out on this.

Thanks,

Mahesh

Hi,

The default SDM password is <b>sdm</b>, try this one.

1. Once login into SDM select <b>Deployment</b> tab.

2. Click the first Icon to add your .EAR files.

3. Continue the deployment process by clicking the <b>Next</b> button.

4. In last screen of the deployment <b>Confirm</b> the deployment.

Let me know if you need anything.

Thanks

Hi,

You can manually deploy your webdynpro application (.EAR file) 2 ways.

1. <installation drive>\usr\sap\<SID>\JC01\SDM\program execute <b>RemoteGui.bat</b> then SDM will open you can deploy your app.

2. <installation drive>\usr\sap\<SID>\JC01\j2ee\admin execute <b>go.bat</b> then visual Admin will load. Select Deploy service then click the Deploy button do deploy your application.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Srinivasa Rao,

Any idea why NWDS is slowing the system?

Hi,

I tried the first one.

SDM is asking password. I entered the administrator password. But it is not accepting. Any idea about SDM default password?

I tried through go.bat. It is working fine. The administrator password is working fine here. It will be great if you guide me step by step. Like how to deploy ejb and web dynpro. I don't know the deployment manager here.

I don't want to commit any mistake here.

I will award full points to you.

Thanks.
