ABAP DUMPS - who runs triage on them

Wanted to poll the group for a best practice on how R/3 ABAP dump

monitoring is occurring in your environments

1 - Operators monitor ST22 and assign ticket to Support Desk

2 - Operators monitor ST22 and assign ticket Basis Admin Team

3 - Operators monitor ST22 and assign ticket to Development Team

4 - Operators monitor ST22 and assign ticket to Business Analyst Team

5 - Basis Admin monitor ST22 and assign ticket to Support Desk

6 - Basis Admin monitor ST22 and assign ticket to Development Team

7 - Basis Admin monitor ST22 and assign ticket to Business Analyst Team

8 - Other - please briefly describe

Basis admin monitors the dumps. If necessary we pass it over to the developer if the dump is on a custom program. Otherwise the implementation team would get it. But we really have few that warrant looking deeper into.

I would expect that basis would be watching dumps on the system. Though, most developers frequent and are aware of ST22..

From my experience mostly the developers would be concerned about it...

Hi!

We are on 6, but the tickets are either a phone call or an email.

No formal tickets for dumps yet. We do have a system for tickets, but at the moment they are initiated by the hotline only.

In my case, it would be number 3. We have a really small shop, so the operator monitors and hands off any problems directly to the development.
