Hi All,

We are facing issue with iDOC trigger each time and number assignment to each Idoc .

Scenario is :

In Sales order, we trigger - Output type - which will trigger outbound Idoc .

Here is the detail:

Idoc generated at 10:19:47 has reference 10757315

Idoc generated at 10:59:34 has reference 10793593

Idoc generated at 12:55:22 has reference 10795775

Idoc generated at 13:48:36 has reference 10793733

Idoc generated at 13:48:36 is allocated to number 10793733 where as idoc triggered at 12:55:22 has reference as 10795775.

Kindly let me know what woul dbe reason for this.

Thanks in advance,

Sangeeta

I think this more like someone has re-processed that Idoc generated at 13:48:36 has reference 10793733.

Try use WE02 for that idoc number, and go into details and check the status. It may tell you something.

Hi Sangeetha,

IDoc numbers will store in buffer while generating an IDocs at each work process and it will be locked. If another program try to generate IDocs then this will take next available sequence in different process and locks.

After completion of the processing/work process then the IDoc numbers which is not used will be released for next programs. So, we should not always go with the IDoc sequence number, rather we have to use IDoc creation date and time.
