Dear Friends,
This is regarding the Logs and Traces , sent from Client Device to Server.
We have currently enabled to Send Logs and Traces from the Client Device to Server in the form of assigning Trace Agent to the corresponding Device.
However, We donot see any Logs being persisted to CDS Table of SAP BASIS SWCV.
Any pointers to solve this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
Suresh BJ
How about looking at:
0. Logs & Traces
1. Client Communication Session Monitoring
2. Message Monitoring
All these tools are in NetWeaver Mobile Administration in the 'Monitoring' tab.
What logs do you see w.r.t. the BASIS data object?
By the way: The correct place to be looking for the Client Trace files is ALSO in the very same 'Monitoring' section. CDS is an internal persistence that you need not bother about.

Arjun,
Thanks for the info
We did check in the Monitoring Portal and find that the "Client Communication Session Monitoring" for the device_in_question , there are entries for LOG_MBO of SAP BASIS SWCV.
However, When we click on the Message ( Message Monitoring ) , we donot see the message at all.
CDS persistency maybe because of the LOG_MBO being Upload Only Object?.
However, the bigger question is "How can we see the logs/traces sent from Client?"
Best Regards,
Suresh BJ
If these are old messages, maybe the messages were cleared from message store (by a scheduled job).
You should try again:
1. Send logs from the client
2. Open up NWMA -> Monitoring -> 'Device Logs Monitoring'
What do you see? If you see nothing: Then check Client communication session monitoring and message monitoring to figure out what went wrong.
If you can't then raise an OSS message.
Hi Suresh,
As Arjun said, you can also use message monitoring for searching the corresponding message. In message monitoring , you can go to advanced search option and enter the your device name and the correcponding SWCV OR Data Object you need to find the messages for. This search should give the expected results .
I hope this would help you:)
Thanks & Regards

If you're searching correctly, and are not able to find the logs that you expect, I don't see the point of trying to find out "why" anymore. You should be raising an OSS message because its its probably a bug somewhere.
Stuff like the CDS is really internal to the DOE.
You want logs => You look in NWMA
You don't see it when its supposed to show up => You raise an OSS
I hope thats clear enough
