Production State of Software Components

Hi. Can anyone exlpain what the difference is between all the available options in the drop down list for production state, when you create a new software component version?

Planned, defined, released etc etc.

Also how does choosing each option affect one's PI project?

Hi Riaz,

this is just an info field indicating which production state do you want to put for your SWCV. Sofar I do not have any concequences by using different values. If this is an SWCV to be imported to the Enterprise Service Registry, just set it as "released".
