Hi Gurus,
We have typical business requirement where we need to initiaally post the stock in to customer consignment stock (note it should happen with out using consignment fill up order process). Then a std.sales order needs to be created which should pick the stock from consignment stock (which we posted in previous step).
Please let me know
1. Is it possible to post the stock in to customer consignment stock with out using consignment process?
2. If it is possible, then is it also possible that we can create normal sales order process which will consider the stock from customer consignment bucket?
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Babs
Hi
You can explore creating some new movement type which can post the stock from mb1b to Customer stock.

Hi,
Are you physically transferring the stock to the customer site before creating the sales order? If not
Then you can go with a virtual storage location at the customer site and do a stock transfer through MM process and later create a sales order and delivery to consume the same?
Thanks
Isaac

Hi Issac,
Thank you for your feedback.
You are right. we are not physically going to send the goods untill we create actual sales order.
Regarding your suggestion of having virtual storage location, do we need to create one storage location for each customer. If it is so currently we have the requirment where more than 10,000 customers exist. Whether this is feasible?
please confirm.

Babs
Hi Babs,
Do you want to track the consignemnt stock against each customer? If not you can go with one virtual storage location for all the customers and follow the process. Also check posting the stock with different batches using one virtual storage location.
But I feel the standard Consignment process will suffice your requirement?
Thanks
Isaac
Hi Babs,
It is not possible because if your are moving your physical stock from your premises to customer promises you are liable to excise duty as for the Govt excise rule .
