Dear All,

I have one doubt regarding work process in sap system.

Why minimum two dialog work process is required.

Is there any specific reason for that.

Regards,

Saveen Kumar

Hi,

Along with the reason provided by Markus, the other reason is to resolve deadlocks automatically, at least two work processes are required for SAP Dispatcher.

If First WP is stuck with Deadlock, a dispatcher can resolve it by using Second WP, if its required.

One reason is that compiling/generating programs runs asynchronously, if a program is to be generated, the actual workprocess triggers a second one to do the actual compilation of the program. If you had only one WP the system would wait infinitely for a free WP.
