How system updates the document flow from delivery to biliing?

Hi,

I have one basic query regarding document flow.

Since we do not have Update document flow check box , when copying data from Delivery to BIlling document at Item category level, not sure how system updates the document flow for Delivery to Billing.

Could anyone please share the info regarding the same.

Hi,

We have a check box at the copy control of order to delivery.It is ticked.

The same will work for billing document also.

Goto the T.Code "VTLA".

Select your valid combination.Double click on "Item".Select your item category.Details.

Check whether the tick mark "Update document flow" is ticked or not.It is ticked in general.

In "VTFL" we are using the same item category.So it is not required again.So that check will not be present.So that we are having only table for this document flow.

Update document flow from order - delivery indicator itself, is an activation to keep the track of all the subsequent documents generated for this sales order.

that is the reason, once @ order - delivery level if its activated, then all the subsequent document will be maintained as doc flow records & updates the table (eg:VBFA).

Note: you will have only sales document flow table. You will not have delivery doc flow table & billing doc flow etc..,
