What is custom service for webdynpro? How to create it?

Dear All,

I need to develop an interactive form that needs to be embedded in webdynpro application.There is no relevant portal application in SAP so I was sugested to use custom service for webDynpro application.

Can you please tell me what is a custom service? How can I create it? what are the steps to link my webdynpro application to custom service?

A "Custom Service" isn't something that exists in Web Dynpro. Could the person who told you this just meant that you need to create a custom Web Dynpro Application because no SAP delivered one exists? Or they might have been refering to a service call (the ability to consume a class method, RFC/BAPI, web service from WDA). It is difficult to say what they actually meant since this isn't standard terminology.
