Apart from maintaining a proper RFC destination,

1) can you confirm that you can see the PROXY in the corresponding ECC system under the proper namespace of XI/ PI

2) Is the proxy activated

3) I hope no user is locked...even in this case you wont get any message into XI.

You can do the RFC destination Test using the Transaction Code SM59.Select ABAP ConnectionsThen Select the RFC destination you are using and finally click on Connection Test Button.

Using which adapter are you sending the data from ERP to PI?Is it Idoc or RFC..

Hi Swetha,

U r Scenario is

Proxy->PI->Web services

First u have to check these steps given in the URL

/people/vijaya.kumari2/blog/2006/01/26/how-do-you-activate-abap-proxies

Then u will check in queues.

Go to SMQ@ and check whether any jobs are struck in the queues.

And also check RFC destination created in the Type H.

Thanks

Ravi

Hi,

chk the sxmb_moni tcode of the ERP system u might get your error there

There is no message stuck in SXMB_MONI. related to thid interface.

But there are messages in SMQ1 in ERP system. So will these messages effect the messages moving out of ERP system to PI system????

yes,u have to delete those queues and excute once again. Then u will check the messages in PI

Are you sure i can delete these messages?? This is production system.

It might effect the messages i delete

Do not delete messages in Prod box without necessary information. If they are your messages, then you should be able to see an error message corresponding to it. Also check in st22 of the ECC system for ECC dumps which will guide you further about the error. Consider reprocessing the messages before any deletions.

Thanks preeti.

I will check for the error messages and also check for dumps in st22.

Hi,

I have checked for the dumps in st22 and i didn find anythin related to my interface.

I also checked in ECC system smq1 and smq2 and sxmb_moni the message which is posted from ECC is not displayed in any of these also.

So what can be the problem??? This scenario involves RFC just to remind you.

I dont find it a PI issue. But is there anythin i need to change in PI system????

I have to mention one more thing we have used BPM in this interface. could there be any problem in BPM??

Plzz help;.

You mentioned that theer is no entry in the ssending system also....so it is quite obvious that no message would have come to XI/ PI....BPM may not be at fault here....are you sure that the RFC is actually executed successfully...had it been then something should have been recorded in SXMB_MONI of the sender system.

Abhishek.

Ya there is no entry in the Sender system SXMB_MONI as welll....

I am not good at BPM so can you tell me if BPM would causea ny problem from pullling the messages??

Or is it the Function modules in the ECC system that is to be checked???

I would say BPM is not at fault....as there is nothing in the sender system itself, XI/ PI (or BPM) wont receive anything....better take help from an ABAPer and check if the FM is working properly.....is there any other RFC (Sender) scenario in your project...check if it is working fine....if yes then the particular FM is to be checked.

Abhishek.

Hi Abhishek,

Thanks. This scenario has a RFC sender. And the connection works fine.

I have checked for connection. Is there anything else i should check in the RFC part???

Check for the RFC itself....if you have ABAP knowledge then you can check it for yourself or ask an ABAPer to check it for you.

Checking the connection does not ensure that the RFC is working fine.

Thanks Abhishek.

I have asked the ABAP team for help.

1. Check if the messaage is stuck in SM58 of ERP system.

2. Check if you are using the right RFC destination pointing to PI system in the port you are using to transfer the data.

3. Check if the RFC destination is configured correctly, do an connection test and authorization test of the the RFC destination and confirm this.

1. Go to SM59.

2. EXpand ABAP Connections and select the RFC destination to PI.

3. Press ctrlF3 for connection test and ctrlF4 for authorization test.

Hi,

if your sending an idoc then check SM58 Tcode ..if there is any error in sending the idoc to PI...it will list there...

if you are using an RFC for posting the same..then test the RFC connection created for connection to PI using SM59
