Hello guys,
My scenario ERP -> MDM-> BI.
i've got a simple question: what is the best solution for connecting my MDM with BI ?
- Web services ?
- ABAP API ?
and through PI or not ?
Thanks,
Jean-Philippe
Hello Jean-Philippe
you can use ABAP API or directly access to outbond MDM directory from BW
you can read this articles:

Hi,
I would prefer use of PI as a middleware for this purpose. In actual PI is meant to do such kind of data transfers operations. I think performance and monitoring wise it would be better. For me in personal, it would be easier to create interfaces between MDM and BI using PI , then doing code in ABAP.
Please check [this|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmdm71/helpdata/en/45/d12ce2fd2d5593e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm] link for a sample MDM landscape and Master Data Flow.

Hi Jean,
PI Can be use to post data in SAP BI. Anyways you are already integrating with SAP ECC using SAP PI. so for PI this will be one more remote system.
Cheers,
Rc
