How to activate J2EE server?

Hello,

I have SAP Netweaver 7.01 and I want to run WSNAVIGATOR transaction on web. In order to execute this I need a J2EE server fully operational.

After setting RZ10 values correctly, On SMCIM shows the next information:

 Application Server State

HTTP Application Server Handler

ABAP Server operational = TRUE
J2EE Server configured = TRUE
J2EE HTTP port =
J2EE HTTPS port =
J2EE Server operational = FALSE
Default root access handler = ABAP
URL Prefix Table loaded = TRUE

The problem is that I can't set the server fully operational.

Can you help me?

Thank you very much.

Best Regards

Hello Sergio,

There could be several different reasons that the J2EE Server is not operational.

We could separate the reasons in two categories:

1. The J2EE Server is not started.

2. The status of the J2EE Engine is not reported correctly.

Please first check if the J2EE Engine is started and operational.

You could use SAP MMC on Windows or JCMON on any OS to see the state of the server nodes.

Try requesting the default HTTP page of the J2EE Engine and check the System Info page.

You could also check the std_ and dev_ files from the work directory for errors if the J2EE Engine is not started.

If the J2EE Engine is running fine, then one of the possible reasons its status is not reported in SMICM is described in note 1038215.

Hi,

Is your system is dual stack (i.e. ABAP+JAVAP) ?

Check this by Go to /sapmnt/<SID>/profile and check whether SCS prfoile exists or not. If not then your system is single stack i.e. ABAP only ?

After that if you have activated all Java parameters in instance profile then you have to restart your system to activate Java parameters.

Thanks
