SAP BW ,BEX query,Infocube with the universe problem

Hi gurus,

Plz throw some light....

1. Now i can create the universe on the top of each bex query,but how to select<b> 2 or more query in the singel univers</b>e itself.Because this leads to me to create <b>lot of universe.

2. I <b>dont have option to select the infocube</b>..how i can select the infocube???only folder is there,when i click on it,<b>bex query is there,but how to select the INFOCUBE??

3. In the particular folder(infocube) itself i <b>cant find the all the bex query</b> available...for eg:i have 2<b>0 bex query in SAP BW but i see only 5 querys in universe...</b>

plz guide me gurus...

Hi.

I had the same Issue. I saw the Infocube Folder ($INFOCUBE) but I couldn't open it (and I had sap_all).

Call Function Module BAPI_MDPROVIDER_GET_CUBES with CAT_NAME = $INFOCUBE and have a look if you get errors.

I got errors: Infocubes 0RTE_C0* were corrupt (was marked as active, but wasn't active).

I activated them (six or seven cubes) until the Function Module stopped giving me errors.

Since then I can see the Infocube.

Hi Gurus,

Thanks for the information.Now i am getting the cubes and as well as the bex query.

Now the problem is when i have created the universe on top of Bex query ,all the characteristic & key figures that are coming directly from the bex are automatically converted into dimension,detail & key figures.

But the characteristic are converted into to class and i am seeing the many dimension object under the class and many detail object are attached to it.i am not getting what it is actually & how this mapping is done

For eg:

i have company code as class ---> under which i have 2 dimension L00 company code and L01 company code and to which there are lot of detail object is attached.Actually in BEX query i have not created this much of dimension & detail object only i have company code as characteristic.

So,if you throw some light on this how the conversion from the BW objects to universe maps ,it will be really helpful for me as well as other members who are budding developers like me.

>> that might be an issue in the authorizations in the BW system.

>> a query needs to be release for external access which is a property in the BW query designer.

Hi santose

1) You can only have one query to one universe.

2) Do you have the authorization to watch the infocube?

3) Have you allowed "extern access" in the querys?
