Progress analysis

Hi all

My client want progress analysis. here i hv few question. which measurement method to be used in WBS and activity level.Is it necessary to maintain progress version at WBS level. Weightage at which level ( WBS level or Activity level or Both). is it necessary to enter weightage value 100 in root level wbs.

It depends on the business requirement to choose the progress analysis method.
