Material Determination

Hi,

In Material determination, how I will configure, if the 1st substitute material is not available,then system will take the next available substitute material.

Assume, You have customized Material determination settings using Condition techinique.

While creating Conditon records in VB11.

material entered ( actual material ) , Material (substitute material) , press enter to continue.

Now press F2- Alternative Materials,

tick mark the "MRP Indicator" , against the material.

then if the substitute material doesnt have stock, then system replace with this 2nd material.

NOTE: in SAP Std, it is limited to one Material, though you can maintain multiple materials in this record.

Hi,

Goto VB11 and maintain the subtitution material

Example :

Mat Entered----Material

100-100----

---

100-106

now Select the condition GOTO-->ALTERNATIVE MATERIAL

Maintain Alternative material as many you want.

Example:

Alternative Materials

100-106

500-500

600-600

If the material 100-106 is not available ,system will search for the next material availibility from the alternative material,

Maintain settings in OVRQ - Material subtitution:reasons - strategy as per your need

Assign Material determination proce procedure to sales document type in OV14

After this create condition records for material determination VB11
