MTBR: Mean Time Between Repair

Former Member

Hi dudes,

I have a problem about MTBR logic in SAP.

the system calculates available days between repair times for each equipment, then multiple it by 24 (as every day is 24 hours).

why 24?

we have different work centers with different capacities, some have 1 shift, some 2 and some 3, but system always consider 24 hour for each day and dont pay attention to operating time of that equipment. (and also in a 3 shift work center, the operating time is aound 22 hours a day because of break time not 24)

thank you in advance

Hi,

The issue raised by you is standard . The same problem occurs while calculation of breakdown hrs also if workcenters have some 2 shifts .. here SAP considers 24hrs as base for calculation , you need to look for some modification such that work centershift hrs are taken into consideration while calculation of breakdown hrs in notificaiton and you can better have some zreport again for calculation of MTTR and MTBR taking the workcenter shift hrs into consideration ..
