Aftab, read the notes that were given in earlier post. It has all the answers you are looking for.

Do not expect someone to do all the work for you.

also, do not promise points for answers, this is against forums rules.

Hi,

Performance tuning, by optimizing memory requirements, is ongoing process.

Please read all SAP Notes (along with relative notes) carefully, which are already provided in earlier post.

At SAP Instance level, following Memory areas play an important Role:

Extended Memory, User limit within Extended Memory

SAP Buffers (Program Buffer, Table Buffers, etc)

Roll Buffer,

Paging Buffer,

Heap Memory and usage limit for dia and non-dia work-processes ,etc,,etc.

You have to monitor ST02 and identify the memory area which are required more attentions based on the SWAPPING ratios.

At Database Level, Database Buffer Memory area plays an important Role. It should have > 94.0% quality ratio.

Please monitor database performance using ST04 and adjust it if its required.

At Operating System Level, Swap Size plays an important Role.

If you know the role of each memory areas with respect to SAP System level & Database level & Operating System level, then it will be easy for you to configure the same with optimized settings.

Following Additional Factors need to be consider while planning for Memory Management:

1. SAP Solution(s) (ABAP or ABAP+JAVA or JAVA only)

2. Multiple SAP Instances on Single Hosts

3. Any other Non SAP Application along with SAP Instance(s) on the same host will require more memory planning.

4. Memory margin for Operating System itself to work efficiently.

etc.
