Unix+Oracle-->redo log error

I am trying to back up the redo log file and i m getting the following error:

BR0123E Format error found in line 1 of /oracle/SP1/saparch/archSP1.log, location arch_copy_delete-8

1. 0sciqyd sve 2006-03-07 02.18.19 2006-03-07 02.18.48 2 ........... 0 0 0 0 c 6.40 (15)

BR0121E Processing log file /oracle/SP1/saparch/archSP1.log failed

Please advice.

Hi Mikir,

looks like an older run of BRARCHIVE failed. Rename archSP1.log to archSP1.log.old and try again.

Additionally SAP note 490976 (http://service.sap.com/notes) could also help you.

Hi,

check the file has been archived or not.

check for permissions

look into file settings which will invoke brtools

update complete error
