BI7.0 with ABAP stack and Unicode Conversion

Former Member

Hi

Currently we have BI with only ABAP stack and it's in non-unicode. Now we are planning to install BI Java in a separate server since Dual stack installation is not supported anymore. Since the new installation (BI Java) will be Unicode, our concern is whether there will be any issue having the BI ABAP Stack in Non-Unicode and BI Java Stack on Unicode.

Please update if anyone has any information or have experince working on this similar requirments.

Thanks

Yuva

Hi,

Check SAP Note 975768 - Deprecation of Java features with non-Unicode Backend

Thanks

Hi Yuva,

please also have a look at SAP note 1322715 point 6). SAP strongly recommends to make use of Unicode.
