Movement type

Hi Friends

SD when we create stock newly created material, system ask for movement type, which type movement type i should use i.g. 501 or 561 or which movement type

Neither you should use 501 nor 561. You have to use 521 movement type. 561 will be used only during Go Live where there will be initial stock updated

Hi Lakshmipathi,

Thanks for the quick reply. I use movement type 521. system giving error "period 001/2010 is not open for account type S and G/L 895000", how i can fix this error. I saw precious solution i.e. this error can be fix using T.Code OB52, i couldn't under stand which combination i should use(i.e. variant etc.).

Hi,

You have to open the GL account for the S account type.

Get the Posting period variant from the Company code in OBY6 and then goto OB52 and change the posting periods for the Variant.

After doing that, please check
