SAP PLM system landscape build information

Dear Experts,

I am a Basis Admin and received request to setup landscape for SAP PLM (Product Life Cycle Management).

I would like to understand and evaluate what the system requirements are for this module.

Also where would be home for this software, existing SAP system or stand alone new system.

Can any of existing ECC or Netweaver system could be utilized or we need new prototype systems for

building PLM landscape , where can i find documents and details for all my questions?

Hi

The PLM 7.0 master guide is available in SAP Marketplace.

You can install SAP PLM on top of ECC 6.0 or also in a separate system also.

ECC 6.0 and Ehp 4.0 are the prerequisites. After installing them you needto install PLM addons and then activate the PLM business function.

But clarify whether your client is going to use EP for PLM access or SAP GUI?
