Hi
I have a basic question. Why Proportional factors always show up as 40,000;43,000;46.000,....Its alwasy 40XXXX. Whats the basis for this number. But the percentage view is good, it shows only as 100.
So can anyone pls let me know whats the totals in Absolute view of PFs (i always see as 40 thousands, why?)
thanks
Venkat
Hi venkat,
The system calculates the proportional factor dynamically using this huge number.
Supose we hava 2 characteristics (product and location), with the following characteristic combination and proportional factors:
Product Location Proportional factor
ProdA A 41000
ProdA B 46000
ProdA C 48000
If you have a forecast of 1000 for product A, the forecast will be disaggregated in the following way:
Product Location Forecast
ProdA A 1000*41000/(410004600048000) = 303,704
ProdA B 1000*46000/(410004600048000) = 340,741
ProdA C 1000*48000/(410004600048000) = 355,555
I answered you question?

That makes some sense, though its not fully clear to me, why always it starts with 40**.
closing with points. Thank you.

Hi Venkat,
Try going to transaction code /n/sapapo/sdp8b and enter the planning book and data view which contains the proportional factor. Open the planning book wizard. Next go to the "Key Figure Attributes" tab. Choose the proportional factor key figure, then in the "Attributes" area below make sure key figure accuracy is blank or 0.
Let me know if this helps.
