Not able to start MDM server

Hi,

we have upgraded MDM from 5.5 to 7.1 with Oracle as database 10.2.0.4 / SOlaris

Earlier we had installed MDM on WAS which is on NW7.0(ABAP)

MDM services are running. when we try to login with MDM console & not able to connect to the database host.

any pointer, please revert back.

Hi,

Thanks for the information.

DBMS setting are greyed out & looks like it is avaibale after connecting & loading the database.

so not able to modify the settings.

as MDM installed on existing NW system which has ABAP engine.

Does MDM will create a new database or schema on the exiting database.

I usually reload the server after installation.

You should check connect to database:

tnsping "oracleservice_name" if result is wrong, check phisical connection to Oracle server and listener configuration.

Connect from sqlplus "conn dbmsuser/password@oracleservicename as SYSDBA" to your mdm database

If all right

You should update DBMS settings in your Console.
