Hello,
PCo 2.0 requires the "OPC core components 1.0 redistributable (build 224 or later)" (Installation Guide, p. 9) to be able to create a source system of type OpcUaClient. Otherwise the creation fails, because the Opc.Ua.Core assembly could not be found.
But where to get these OPC UA core components? www.opcfoundation.org just offers the core components for the old OPC DA (2.0 & 3.0), which works by the way.
There is a "OPC UA SDK 1.00 Redistributables Setup (x86)" at OPC foundation, which includes the required DLL, but is only available for corporate members of the foundation.
Where can I download the core components?
Regards,
Martin
Info from SAP:
The most official way to get the right dll's [Opc.Ua.Core.dll and Opc.Ua.Client.dll]would be to go to the www.opcfoundation.org -> Downloads -> SDK page, register and get the latest version of the "OPC UA Local Discovery Server 1.00". This package is available for non OPC members.
When installing this SDK the two DLL's that PCo needs in order to run OPC UA would be located in a folder like " C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\OPC Foundation\UA\v1.0\250
" or "C:\Program Files\Common Files\OPC Foundation\UA\v1.0\250"
When running now (again) the PCo 2.3 installer, our installer detects these dll's and simply copies them into the folder where PCo is installed, usually
C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\Plant Connectivity\System.
Starting the PCo then again, you can create and run an Agent based on an OPC UA Server as source.
From PCo 2.3 SP 1 on the OPC UA version 1.00.250.8 is required (see release notes).

Install any one of the demo OPC servers like Kepware, Matrikon or softing the OPC UA core components will get installed by default.

Kepware, Matrikon, and softing have no downloadable OPC UA demo servers yet. According to opcconnect.com there is only OPC UA demo server from Unified Automation. I installed it, but PCo still does not find the UA core components.
By the way, it is not a acceptable solution to install a demo UA Server on a production server, just to be able to connect to a remote UA Server. I just need the OPC UA core components like the ones for OPC DA.
I am using PCo 2.0 with a DA 2.0 source. Any luck contacting OPC foundation?

From the Component Installation Guide on Page 9:
Note
If the respective OPC server automatically installed the OPC core components, you do not have to
reinstall them.
I suppose then in theory, since the components are not SAP's to distribute, either they need to be acquired from the OPC Foundation or the OPC server itself would have them as part of its install.
