Can we have multiple clients for PI

Hi,

Unlike ECC can we have multiple client for PI too ?

B'cos the SIT goes with ECC client 120 and PI client 100

IVT goes with ECC client 130.

but since the setups in PI is pointing to 120, can we have another client which points to ECC 130 and PI some other client.

Is it possible.

Thanks,

JJ

we cannot if we use ABAP proxies - in this case one PI can only be linked to one ECC client

Hi Micheal,

We are not using Proxy. We are using only File, RFC & IDoc adapters.

Is it possible in this case?

Hi Jimma,

At a time for particular scenario we can connect to only one ECC client.

If you want PI to connect different client then in the Integration directory modify the Scenario with the new ECC client and also create the RFC/ IDoc connection for the new ECC client.

Hello

The PI Integration Server can only be installed on one client.

In the PI R/3, you can configure other clients but these cannot act as the PI Integration Server. These can act as Business Systems as in the PI Demo examples which are shipped with PI.

You can connect PI to any client on the ECC system using the PI adapters.

Hi,

You can have two clients pointing two ECC with PI even you are using RFC and Idocs....for tht you can use same design objects but config objects should be different.....
