Issue with INQUIRY AND quotation

Dear Experts<

my client requirement: inquiry and quotation done manually because at the time of inquiry material may does not exist in the system.and if want to create a material that will take at least one day because.it might be a variant configurable material.or we need add up the BOM for that so it takes time

in this scenerio how i map this in SAP.

Hi Raj,

As Kapil suggests, better create a dummy material and place it in Inquiry/Quotation and once the Original material is created, then replace it.

Create Text materials, use them for give the descriptions that users want.

Hi,

You can enter the header details & save the document. If you want maintain texts. Also, material can be entered when it is ready.

Why not u are taking it as text item,if need create text material Bom

Create dummy material bom

At the time of Inquiry creation , if material doesnt exists,

you can simply enter the text in description column & save the inquiry doc. System will consider it as text material. In Quotation you can replace with the actual material.
