What is the purpose of the check box QM procurement active & control key?.What will be impact if i activate it?Should it be activated for QM for procurement?

What is the purpose of the check box QM procurement active & control key?.What will be impact if i activate it?Should it be activated for QM for procurement?

QM in Procurement is Active

1. Should it be activated for QM for procurement?

You should activate "QM in procurement" for all plants pertaining to a client.

2. Purpose of the check box QM procurement active :

If you have the plan to do the quality check for all the procurement of the materials,

you should activate "QM in procurement" for all plants pertaining to a client.

3. purpose of the control key

This key determines which conditions are valid for quality management in procurement.

Note :

If you activate the indicator for QM in procurement in the material master record at the client level, you must also store a control key at the plant level for quality management in procurement.

In simple words it is how qulity wants control over the procurement activity.

If you tickk it you have to enter Qm proc key like

Vendor release/delivery relase (Q info record is mandetory)

Certificate type( certi is samndetory)

Quality agg( is mandetory in Q info)

Invoice block

It as not always ticked for all proc in your factory ,this depends upon the way you want to control the vendor for a material
