Preferred Supplier Search in SRM Enterprise Portal 7.0

Dear Experts,

Environment: SRM 7.0 PPS 3.0 and Enterprise Portal 7.0 ECC EHP4.

In the SRM Enterprise portal when creating a shopping cart and searching for Preferred Suppliers, the filter criteria fields Region, city, Street etc are inactive by default. They need to be activated by clicking on the small Diamond shaped figure in front of the fields and changing the diamond symbol to = or <= symbol etc.

Without activating the field, the value entered for the field is ignored by the query and the vendor search could be unsuccessful. Is there anyway to activate the query search fields like Region, City etc automatically so that the end user can query for vendors without much hassle when they do a search. I did not notice this issue in the earlier version before SRM 7.0

Hi Scott,

The Search criteria takes into consideration only those fields which are entered, Others are omitted or not considered.

Though the 'diamond' icon shows inactive by default, the moment the user enters some value in the corresponding search field, the system considers it while searching. When you place the cursor on the diamond shaped icon, it reads 'inactive' only to signify that you have not entered anything in the field. Hope it is clear.

Hi ,

I am also facing the same issue, in Preferred supplier field we are getting value for the search help but the same is not coming in the preferred supplier filed on selection.

Plese provide your inputs.
