Mail Box Flooded with Alerts for Single failed Message

Hi Experts,

I have configured the Alert rule in my scenario.

It was working fine yesterday but, when I checked today no alerts were triggering. I reconfigured the same. It started working.

There are only 9 failed messages in XI. But, there are 200-300 alerts being generated and they are keep on generating.

Suppress multiple alerts for the rule is active.

Could anyone suggest what could be the reason?

Please suggest.

I guess the rule you created is more generic, rather it should be specific (e.g., for a given interface)

Hi,

Its generic but same mails are repeatedly coming. There are no further failing messages.

Please suggest.

Hi,

one other reason can be alerts which are in queue before got triggered after creating the rule...

i mean backlog alerts might have got generated ...

Check in ALRTDISP and clear the entries in order to stop receiving the same....for time being....
