You need to customize an inbound message type to receive the incoming message.
Yes the transaction will reopen once you receive the incoming message whether with a successful ITN number message or an error message stating the required data to be sent and you can change and update the filing or you can even cancel the AES filing too if you have already filed and for some reasons if the shipment is cancelled.
