Hi SAP Experts,
I am very new to SAP and learned SAP Basis Admin on a Windows Base Installation. I want to get educate myself about the SAP deployment on Unix/Linux environmnts. My question is what will be the file system of SAP ECC 6/7 on Linux. In which directory I will find the SAP startup / shutdown scripts. Where to look for the SAP logs etc . I am a Oracle DBA and want to enhance my skillset to SAP Netweaver / Basis Admin.
Thanks

Welcome to SCN, make sure you read the rules of engagament.
My question is what will be the file system of SAP ECC 6/7 on Linux
That will be NFS instead of NTFS
In which directory I will find the SAP startup / shutdown scripts, Where to look for the SAP logs etc
Pretty much is the same directory structure but instead of been mounted in drives are mounted in filesystems
Seems to me that you need a little Linux sandbox to play with, then I recommend you to use one of the trial versions to practice.
Good luck
Regards
Juan
