DO we need to apply license for sepeartely WAS J2ee engine and Enterprise portal . Or if you apply WAS j2ee is enough.

HI chimsik,

To apply the license to the j2ee engine use the Visual Admin.

Go to _> Server0 -> Services -> Licensing Adapter

Click on "Install License from file", browse to the location of the file sended by SAP.

Then, restart the engine

Hope this help

I just checked the actually licence that I recieved from SAP. It is one license, specifically for the j2ee engine. Not the portal. There is no need for a separate portal license.

Hi George,

There is a Licensing Adapter in the Visual Administrator. Please try to update your license there.

In my case, appling the license to the engine is enough. I really think that the license is for the engine as opposed to the portal. The portal is really just a pretty frontend for the engine itself.
