Hi Experts,

I want to you know if we can install IS-Utilities on the same ECC instance where IS Public sector is already running?

Hello,

ARe you in ECC 6.0?

The following notes could be helpful :

874414 - Add info about installing/activating IS-PS-CA on ECC 6.0

874416 - Additions for installing/activating Utilities on ECC 6.0

856284 - SAP ERP Central Component 6.0: Inst./upgrad and architecture

881842 - Release strategy for SAP Utilities as of ECC 6.0

As per note 881842 :

You can only have one active industry extension in a system. Different

industry extensions cannot be combined with one another in ERP 2005.

Regards,

Helene

Hi Helene,

Thank you for the prompt response. Yes, we are on ECC 6.0 but we are using alot of different add-ons. We bought the following components

1. mySAP ERP

mySAP ERP Financials

mySAP ERP HCM

mySAP ERP Operations

mySAP ERP Corp Services

2. Payroll Processing

3. SAP GRC

4. SAP Procurement for PS

5. SAP Tax & Rev Mangement for PS

6. SAP PM for PS

7. SAP Public Utilities

We already went live with FICO, HCM, SD. Now, we are planning to implement IS Utlities. Therefore I want to be sure that if we can or cannot implement IS-U on the same instance we have currently in production.

Thanks,

SB

Hi,

As far as I know, you can only have one active industry extension in a system.

SFW5 will not allow you to activate more than one industry solution : if the industry solution for public sector is already active, I believe you will not be able to activate the IS-Utilities.

You will need to install separate systems for activating each Industry extensions separately.

Enterprise Extensions (components which start with EA-) are usually compatible with Industry Solutions (components which start with IS-). It is only possible to activate one Industry Solution but additionaly several Enterprise Extensions can be activated.

I hope it helps,

Hélène

Hi Helene,

Thank you very much. That resolves all my queries about installing multiple industry solutions on a single instance.

Thanks,

SB.
