SM : EXEC SERVICES Batch Job

Former Member
0 Kudos

Hi All,

I just finished installing and configuring Solution Manager EHP1 and am in the process of fine tuning the security aspects. I have created a batch user to run various batch jobs. I am struggling with the authorization issues for this batch user.

As soon as I took out SAP_ALL, a few jobs started failing. I got most of them running again by assigning appropriate roles to the batch user.

But I can't make SM : EXEC SERVICES run by itself. This job connects to the satellite systems and collects data for the early watch alerts. I have to run it manually under my user id (I've SAP_ALL) to make it run successfully.

Anyone out there knows what exact authorization do I need for the batch user to make this job run successfully.

Thanks!

Manny

Hello Manjeet, Could you add this authorization object: D_SOL_VSBL to your solman background user SOLMAN_BTC and re-run the job ?

Let me know the outcome.

Hello Manjeet, Also I found this Link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm40/helpdata/en/e2/8a6b41419f031de10000000a155106/content.htm

Which provides the information regarding authorization objects required for SOLMAN operations.

Hope it helps you.

Thanks Amber.

The link you provided had all the information I was looking for. I added those roles to the batch user.. and it worked like a charm.

Thanks again!!
