connect two systems

Hi,

I need to connect two systems with each one. What type of connection i´ve to do? What parameters are necessarry?

The systems are ERP with SCM Server

Hi,

create RFC between 2 system with transaction SM59 (ABAP Connection).

Yes, this step I know it. But the user has the same in both systems? Only with the ip and number system is correct?

Hi,

When you will create RFC, Create it from SM59, then on Technical Settings Tab page, enter hostname and system number.

Then go to Logon and security tab page enter user id, password and client etc. It is not necessary that you have same user in both system. You can have different user but user should have proper access in the respective system.

Hi,

It is recommended to have user type as System.

Because by this way you can avoid password expiration of user as well as misuse of the user.

Hi,

You need to know for which usage you want to connect 2 systems.

Then you will know which technology to use (RFC ? web service ? file system ? event ?) , which user type , which autorisation...
