File Adapter Communication channel hang

Hi All,

We have Flatfile to idoc screnario created and making use of FTP connection to get file for processing in XI. We see whenever there is FTP communication problem, the communication channel configured to get file is hanged and just keep on going as below.

Polling interval started. Length x seconds

Polling interval started. Length: x seconds

Instead of

Polling interval started. Length: 300.0 seconds

Processing finished successfully

Processing started

I tried, deactivate and reactivate, stop and started the cc. But all in vain as none of the option helped. Only if create new communication channel is helping to connect properly to FTP server and process the files.

PN we are making use of Data connection mode as Active.

Hi Rani,

Have a look in this SAP Note 1083488..

Also try to stop and start the service related to file adapter from visual admin....

path : cluster -> services -> SAP XI adapter-file...
